繼貝塔斯曼集團旗下FremantleMedia于去年成功推出“中國達人秀”之后，貝塔斯曼將于今年8月25日-26日在北京推出面向中國頂尖大學生的“當校園達人遇上貝塔斯曼”(Talent Meets Bertelsmann)的商業新人選拔活動。
Bertelsmann wants to uncover and reward the most creative and outstanding new talents in media and services sector. On August 25 & 26 2011, Bertelsmann is bringing the Talent Meets Bertelsmann workshop to China to further its continued efforts to find the best and brightest to shape the future of media and services.

Talent Meets Bertelsmann 2011 China Workshop
On August 25 and 26 2011, 20 students will attend the Talent Meets Bertelsmann China Workshop at our China Corporate Center in Beijing. At the workshop, you’ll meet and mingle with various Bertelsmann senior executives and other talented students from around the country and be presented with a real life business challenge during the 2 days. You will have the opportunity to showcase your talent and creativity through your solution model to a jury of Bertelsmann China’s senior executives.

First prize – A trip to New York this October!
The 2 most outstanding students from the workshop will be going to New York City to visit the headquarters of Random House – Bertelsmann's publishing arm, and the world's largest publishing company.
Together with the winners from Germany, you will meet the managing directors of Random House and take a wondrous look inside the biggest publishing house in the world. You will also attend a workshop there to exchange ideas on current challenges and opportunities in the industry; and to conclude the trip, you will be taken on a sight-seeing tour around New York City!

We are recruiting strong candidates for strategic positions such as Executive Assistant to senior management team members. Executive Assistant will mainly work closely with the managers on new business development projects. They are expected to be an owner of an account(s) within 12 to 18 months and in charge of a sizable profit center in future.

- Career shadowing days with Bertelsmann's senior executives as your mentor
How to apply
Our requirements:
- Whether you are an undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate or MBA student with or without work experience, you are welcome to apply! Major in business, management, economics, information technology, logistics or media is preferred.
- You should have a strong analytical mindset, profit conscious and outstanding communication skills.
- You should be innovative and have entrepreneurial ideas and behaviors.
- You have a keen drive to make a difference and the courage to execute them.
- You should have work and/or extracurricular experiences that reflect your passion for the media and service industry.
- Proficient both in Chinese and English, oral and written.
 
Your application materials should include:
1. Updated Resume highlighting your leadership abilities and working/ internship experiences
2. An essay with 500 words limit responding to ONE of the following three topics:
- What are your two most substantial accomplishments and why do you view them as such?
- What is your career vision and why is this choice meaningful to you?
- Tell us about a time when you were frustrated in life or workplace. What have you learnt from that experience?
3. A business proposal on the following topic in PowerPoint of no more than 15 slides with a clear structure:
"With the development of internet, e-commerce has created a new economic ecosystem. Bertelsmann, as a world's leading player in media and services, is looking for the integration of e-commerce into its business sectors to develop future potential. You could refer to www.bertelsmann.com and respective divisional websites in link for the information of Bertelsmann's current businesses and think out of the box for new business models in line with the following sectors, taking the integration of E-commerce.
- BPO (Business Process Outsourcing)
- TMT (Technology, Media, Telecom)
- Education
